Works with

Thermostats: Nest Learning Thermostat (2nd and 3rd gen), Nest Thermostat, ecobee, Honeywell Lyric, 24V Tuya, Orvibo, McoHome, Lutron Palladiom (RS485).

Systems: Wall split, Ducted split, VRF / VRV indoor units.

Brand alone doesn't confirm compatibility. We check your indoor unit model and wiring first.

What the Mini 6S does

The Mini 6S is the higher-capability model in the Mini family. Like the Mini 6, it connects a 24V smart thermostat to an AC indoor unit and powers the thermostat itself. The difference is what happens to the controller already on your wall. With the Mini 6S, the original controller can stay in the system. It keeps showing operating status and fault information, and it mirrors what the smart thermostat is doing.

That matters for two groups of people. Facility teams and maintenance contractors rely on the original controller's fault codes to diagnose problems. And some households simply want a familiar control in the room as a backup to the app.

More connection types

Indoor units don't all talk the same way. The Mini 6S supports two-wire and three-wire buses, Daikin's P1/P2 bus and S21 port, and the CN-style connectors used by several brands. The right connection depends on the exact indoor unit model, which is why we confirm the model before quoting.

How installation works

The installer confirms the AC model and communication type, tests the existing controller, switches off the indoor unit, then connects the adapter's power input, the AC communication port and the thermostat cable. The thermostat cable is solid-core CAT6 with RJ45 T568B ends. Power for the adapter should not be taken from the indoor unit itself, to avoid electrical interference. After power is restored, cooling, heating and every fan speed are tested.

Mini 6S or Mini 6?

If the thermostat will be the only control in the room and the indoor unit has a 4-wire connector, the Mini 6 is enough. If you want the original controller kept, or the unit uses a two or three-wire bus, choose the Mini 6S.

Questions about the Mini 6S

Will my old controller still work?

Yes. It stays connected, keeps showing status and fault codes, and mirrors the thermostat's settings.

Does it work with Daikin P1/P2?

P1/P2 is one of the connection types the Mini 6S supports. Send us the indoor unit model so we can confirm the exact wiring.

Is fan speed control supported?

Fan speed support depends on the AC brand and the thermostat. We confirm it for your combination before you order.
